I cannot install Cisco Anyconnect VPN on Mac OS X as the VPN package is greyed out during installation. Please follow the steps below to remove the Cisco. Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client is a Virtual Private Network (VPN) client that works on a large selection of operating systems and hardware configurations. The new Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client and support will operate under Mac OS X, Windows, and Linux. Additionally, there are device-specific versions for many common mobile devices like iPad, iPhone or Android phones. Download Cisco VPN on software.lbl.gov and open the Mac version of AnyConnect. Double-click on AnyConnect.pkg Go through the prompts and click Install at the last window, enter your Mac login name and password and click Install Software.
The VPN package is greyed out (as shown in the screen capture below) due to incomplete/unclean installation of VPN client.
To resolve the issue, please follow the steps below to remove the Cisco Anyconnect VPN client from your Mac OS X and re-install it again.
